The cuneo salino in the po delta
YEAR: 2025
TOOLS: html, css, javascript, rawgraph, Illustrator
The project investigates the phenomenon of the cuneo salino (salt wedge) in the Po Delta (northern Italy) and its ecological consequences. It uses open environmental data from ARPAV, ARPAE, and the European Environment Agency (EEA) to visualize how changes in river flow, salinity, and habitat distribution interact over time, threatening the region's biodiversity.
concept
Po Delta
The project was born from the desire to make visible a complex natural phenomenon, such as the advance of the salt wedge in the Po Delta.
Through data visualization, the goal was to explain how changes in river flow and water salinity translate into concrete consequences for local ecosystems.

The representation
The interface is built as an interactive scrolling website, which guides the user through the data.
Each section combines maps, graphs, and diagrams to show, step by step, the relationship between environmental parameters and their effects on the habitat.
The technical part is based on the processing of open datasets from ARPAV, ARPAE and AEA, reorganized and simplified to ensure clarity and visual consistency.
The graphic design favors a neutral palette and legible typography to enhance the informative content.
